The property consists of 2 claims (17 units) numbered 1166983 and 1166984, both within BMA 525 832, Porcupine Mining Division. These claims lie within the Attawapiskat region but were specifically excluded from the BRDC-KED JV. The main purpose of these claims was to control within BRDC one of the only the few sand and gravel sources in the region. Both materials are expected to be in considerable demand during construction of the De Beers Victor diamond mine as well as for any other civil engineering projects.
Exploration Program
No exploration work has been carried to date except for enough sampling to verify the quality of the materials.
Future Developments
BRDC plans on performing a gravel pit study which will include both an Environmental Level I assessment as well as a further look at material quality in order to confirm which application(s) it is best suited for.
