BIG RED DIAMOND UPDATES INFORMATION ON THE MANAGEMENT CEASE-TRADING ORDER

Timmins, ON- Big Red Diamond Corporation (TSXV-DIA)- April 28, 2006- Big Red wishes to announce that there has not been any material changes in Big Red Diamond Corp.'s notice of default filed with the various Canadian regulatory authorities it reports to in regard to the news releases issued by the company on Feb. 28, March 16 and March 30, April 13, 2006. Big Red has not yet filed its annual audited statements and other annual documents, neither has it filed the documents for the quarter ending on January 31, 2006. The Company is asking for an extension to the Management Cease-Trading Order under which it is currently operating.
